"My mother has been a widow now for ten years and has over the years collected a debt of £15000, due to a loss of my fathers earnings. The goverment gave her a parents widows allowence while my sister and i where at school, which she was taxed on. After we had left school she was left with nothing having to work two jobs to try and keep herself above board. She also has a small pension that my father had paid into whilst working for he post office which she has to pay tax on as well. But there is now no widows benifit and she was only 42 when my father died and he was only 50, leaving my mother with five children.
She now has a debt that is increasingly difficult to pay for, when you have to pay rent, bills and debt back every month.
If you want us to vote labour, what would we expect to gain??"
