We’re into the final two Gameweeks of this captivating 21/22 FPL season, and it comes from the season-defining Double Gameweek 36.
Kevin De Bruyne’s 30-point haul combined with a meager three-point haul for Mohamed Salah has left those who backed the Egyptian in trouble. Those who opted for the differential option at KDB are highly valued, and with two games remaining, it has rocked the mini league a bit.
My Free Hits worked really well for my team, taking me to the top 75K, thanks to Kevin De Bruyne. I also made a last minute switch from Diogo Jota to Luis Diaz, which worked well. With five other double-digit catches, I finished with my highest score of 160 FPL points on Gameweek.
The season is not over yet, and FPL managers will look to the upcoming DGW 37 as their last chance to gain an advantage over their rivals. Aston Villa, Leicester, Burnley, Everton and Crystal Palace are the five teams that have played twice. Richarlison and Wilfried Zaha are the most transferred players at the moment.
With the FA Cup final on Saturday, DGW 37 kicks off at noon on Sunday, meaning an early FPL deadline on Sunday morning BST. FPL managers should make sure they finish their team before then.
Gameweek 37 Deadline: Sunday, 15 May, 10:30 (BST)/15:00 (Indian Standard Time)
FPL Match Schedule Week 37
Gameweek 37 kicks off with a match between Spurs and Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a very important Sunday afternoon for both sides. The next five games are at 14:00 CEST, with Leeds taking on Brighton at Elland Road. Everton and Brentford face each other later in the day. Newcastle face Arsenal in their final home game of the season on Monday.
Liverpool travel to St. Mary’s to face Southampton on Tuesday night following Saturday’s FA Cup final.
The doubles match took place on Thursday night. Everton’s home encounter against Crystal Palace is by far the most important of those fixtures.

2) Kai Havertz (CHE) (£7.9m) – OUT | Wilfried Zaha (CRY) (MID) (£6.9m) – IN
Having received some sort of savior to save my season, I intend to make some reasonable transfers to finish strong.
Richarlison and Wilfried Zaha were the talismans of their respective teams and were in the penalty shootout. Richarlison has been a key source of goals for the Toffees, and he has been more prolific at Goodison Park than away from him. With two home games to come, he looks like a no brainer to include in our team.
As for Zaha, he got into DGW 37 thanks to goals in consecutive matches. While Crystal Palace will face the tough defenses of Aston Villa and Everton, you won’t waste Zaha on the counter-attack.
I’m keeping an eye on possible single-Gameweek alternatives to Zaha, with Liverpool’s Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz the focus of my attention. I will make my final decision after the FA Cup final, which will allow me to guess which players from Liverpool and Chelsea will start their respective DGW 37 games.
Best FPL Team for Gameweek 37
Gameweek 37 Bench: Ben Foster (GK) vs LEI (H), Mason Mount (MID) vs LEI (H), Conor Coady (DEF) vs NOR (H), Daniel Amartey (DEF) vs WAT (A) and CHE (A)
I had a bit of a bench crunch at Gameweek 37, with one of Mason Mount and Harvey Barnes having to come off the bench. As of now, I was leaning towards playing the Leicester City winger but that could change before the deadline.
Wolves’ defensive woes continued, and had it not been for Jose Sa’s heroics in front of goal, they could have sent in more goals. However, the home game against Norwich gave them the chance to stop the flow of goals and get a much-needed clean sheet.
The Wolves result could be very important for me because I also have Conor Coady in my team. While I’ve named him on the bench, for now, he could come on if Aymeric Laporte doesn’t recover in time for Manchester City’s game against West Ham.
Joel Matip and Reece James are the other two defenders in my team, and I hope they will start.
Into midfield, my move to catch Raheem Sterling in GW 35 over De Bruyne could have had a devastating effect. While there is a possibility Grealish could replace him, Sterling’s outstanding form could see him retain his place in the starting XI. Zaha, Saka and Barnes should join him in my four-man midfield.
While all eyes will be on Son as he chases Mohamed Salah in the Golden Boot race, Harry Kane should also play a key role for Spurs in their must-win clash against Burnley. He loves facing Burnley as much as Son and will be looking to build on his brace against Arsenal last time out.
While Richarlison was almost certain to start in both games for Everton, Ollie Watkins’ knockout against Liverpool raised concerns. However, reports suggest he should be fit to start both games, and I choose to trust him and support him for this Gameweek.
Gameweek 37 – FPL Captain
With no major teams multiplying, captaincy is definitely a tricky decision at DGW 37. Harry Kane is a pick of the gameweek one captain options and is someone I’m considering. However, it is Richarlison who is in the best form I have used at the moment, with Wilfried Zaha not far behind.
