Qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations continues this week and will see Guinea-Bissau face Sao Tome and Principe at the Adrar Stadium in their opener in their group on Thursday.

Guinea-Bissau, in qualifying for the previous edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, lost three of their first four matches. They then needed to win their next two games to secure qualification and managed to do so, beating Eswatini and Republic of the Congo 3-1 and 3-0 respectively.
