The Cavaliers started their Summer League campaign on a high, beating the San Antonio Spurs 99-90. However, they have lost consecutive games since then.

The loss to the Denver Nuggets ended in a bad shot for several players. Cam Young did, however, manage to score 16 points, scoring most of his points from the free throw line.

The Cavaliers, however, will be looking to bounce back against the Pistons in an attempt to record their second Las Vegas Summer League victory.

Key player – Amar Sylla

The Cavaliers played well as Amar Sylla had a good night. His size will be an important factor against a physical team like the Pistons. Sylla was perfect on the pitch against Spurs, scoring 19 points.

Sylla should look to be aggressive on the boards and contribute more defensively for the Cavaliers to come away with a win.

The Detroit Pistons started their Summer League campaign with back-to-back wins – beating the Portland Trail Blazers and Washington Wizards. Jaden Ivey led the way against the Trail Blazers, scoring 20 points on 42.9% shooting. He also added overall value, recording six rebounds and six assists.

Against the Wizards, Isaiah Livers rose to the challenge scoring 20 points, including four 3-pointers. Isaiah Stewart also made a big contribution, recording 14 points and nine rebounds in 30 minutes.

The Pistons experimented with their lineup against the Pacers and will likely look to do so against the Cavaliers as well. It will be interesting to see who takes on the challenge to help them achieve a victory.

Key player – Buddy Boeheim

Boeheim is likely to start again, given his outstanding performance in the loss to the Pacers. He will be looking to keep that momentum going with the intention of taking quick shots and shooting fouls.

Boeheim could also try to contribute in other areas, but his shooting ability is what sets him apart. Starting early can be crucial for the team to score a win.

Riders. vs Pistons Match Prediction

Both teams have an attacking style of play, heading to the rim to collect their buckets. The Cavaliers should have the upper hand, given that the Pistons are changing their starting XI.

However, some of the Pistons players showed offensive ability and defensive intensity in the last game, which makes them hard to ignore. The Cavaliers risk being challenged until the last minutes.
